As Americans bought cars in record numbers in the 1950s, railroads tried to lure back passengers with luxurious, “futuristic” diesel trains. This Hornet train was influenced by these classic mid-century diesel locomotive designs. The Hornet’s tin artwork mimics the Norman Rockwell style of 1950s American train ads. Contains 48 Hornet trains and 1 stackable score marker.
