UK Book Marketing & Publicity Manager, Aconyte Books

Contract - Full time, Permanent
Location: Nottingham, UK or remote (UK only)

Aconyte Books is the dynamic and award-winning new publishing imprint that brings worlds to life. A part of international tabletop games group Asmodee, our mission is to create fiction and non-fiction set in the rich worlds of fantasy games, comics, computer games, and more. Our worlds include Arkham Horror, Pandemic, Legend of the Five Rings, Assassin’s Creed and Marvel’s Heroines and Legends of Asgard, so if you’re in love with stories set in those settings and many others this could be the role for you.

At Asmodee Entertainment we are looking for a stand-out candidate to join our publishing team, as we expand our publishing programme. Are you excited by the thought of representing these great books to the wider world, singing their praises to sales partners, and arranging book promotions to gamers and fantasy fans around the English-speaking world? This role brings all of that for the right person.

You will be working as a key member of the Aconyte Books team, mostly based in Nottingham, UK. Working to an agreed promotions schedule you create, you will liaise with our UK sales partners so they have all they need to sell the books. You will oversee our social media, plan book launches and effective publicity. In partnership with our North American sales director and marketing coordinator, and our book trade sales partners at Simon & Schuster, you will ensure promotion and publicity is integrated with their territories. There will also be opportunities to organise and attend events, from bookshop launches to prestigious games and SF conventions.

The challenges in this role will be to understand the books and convey their unique qualities to our sales partners, to key publicity venues, and to the wider fanbase of readers and gamers alike. The schedule will be busy and the budgets modest, so creativity and drive are equally essential.

For the right talented person this could be a great opportunity to join a well-supported imprint as it grows and thrives, and really contribute to its success. Whether you’re based at our Nottingham offices or work remotely, this is also a rare opportunity to escape the drudgery and expense of a daily big city commute.

To apply for this position, please take the time to craft a cover letter which really explains what makes you who you are, what skills and experience you bring, and why this is the job for you. By all means attach a current CV as well. Please email this to

We look forward to hearing from you!
